Save The Air Gal
By Hollywood Don
She knocked on my front door today
wantin money to save the air.
I listened to her doin her thing
while admirin her long black hair.
The granny glasses set me off
and sent my mind to reelin.
I hated to tell her how broke I was
and she said she knew the feelin.
Can't help you with that thing today
I said while lookin down.
But I got some beer and two lawn chairs,
won't you join me for some cheer.
She laughed and said she couldn't
cause she was tryin to save the air.
So I went back to the backyard
and plopped down on one of them chairs.
I lit me a stogie and popped a beer
under a big blue sky so fair.
Then thanked the Lord for gargeous gals
like that one tryin to save the air.
I fed the squirrels and birds alike
while sittin in that old chair.
And wrote this poem about that girl
who's tryin to save the air. | |
